Board Meetings

Water Year 2026 Board Meeting dates. Generally, Watermaster Board Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 3pm.

• Regular Board Meeting: August 19, 2026 at 3:00pm – Agenda – Agenda package
  • Public correspondence addressed to the Board received by EOB on Tuesday, August 11th will be included in the agenda package. Correspondence received after this date will be included in the future Board packages.

Adoption of 5-Year Assessment Report & 2026 GMP Update

We are pleased to share that at its Special Meeting on June 24, 2026, the Borrego Springs Watermaster Board approved the following documents:

• Five-Year Assessment of the Judgment and Groundwater Management Plan for the Borrego Springs Subbasin (5-Year Assessment Report), which evaluates Basin conditions, describes implementation progress, assesses progress toward achieving sustainability, and provides responses to the DWR’s Recommended Corrective Actions. Additionally, the 5-Year Assessment Report explains all the proposed updates to the 2020 GMP.
• 2026 Update to the Groundwater Management Plan for the Borrego Springs Subbasin (2026 GMP Update), which incorporates Board-approved revisions to the 2020 GMP, all of which were recommended based on the 5-Year Assessment. All changes to the GMP are shown in redline text.

Together, these documents satisfy the Watermaster’s five-year periodic evaluation requirements under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and have been submitted to the DWR as part of the Alternative Plan periodic evaluation process.

As a next step, the Watermaster will file a motion with the Court to amend the Judgment to replace Exhibit 1, the 2020 GMP, with the 2026 GMP Update.
