Publication of Public Draft Reports of the 5-Year GMP Assessment and Update

The following drafts have been published for public review and comment:

• Five-Year Assessment of the Judgment and Groundwater Management Plan (GMP) for the Borrego Springs Subbasin(5-Year Assessment Report), which describes new information and key findings from GMP implementation through September 30, 2025, and any recommended changes to the 2020 GMP.
• 2026 GMP Update, which is a redline version of the 2020 GMP documenting updates based on new information and findings discussed in the 5-Year Assessment Report.

Release of these drafts kicks off a 30-day public comment period in which the Watermaster will accept written comments for consideration prior to finalizing the documents for submittal to DWR and the Court. Written comments will be considered and accepted through May 26, 2026 at 5pm.
